Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies with Maple Glaze

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  2. Cream together the butter or shortening, sugar and mayple syrup.
  3. Add pumpkin, egg and vanilla and mix well.
  4. Sift together all the dry ingredients in a separate bowl – flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and allspice. Once combined add to the moist ingredients.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips and walnuts.
  6. Drop cookies onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a well greased cookie sheet and bake about 15 minutes.
Maple Glaze
  1. If you want to drizzle maple glaze on top of the cookies combine 1/2 cup powdered sugar, 1/2 Tbsp room temperature butter and 1-2 Tbsp maple syrup. Mix to combine. If mixture is too thick add a touch of water to thin out and drizzle over the cookies.
