You Have 30 Minutes To Evacuate. Are You Prepared? If there was an officer at your door, pounding to wake you up and you hear, “You have 30 minutes to evacuate!” Would you know what to do? What to grab? If the answer is no? Let’s change that! My goal is to make sure that if that happens the answer is “YES!”
Mother nature has made the Fall hurricane season stronger than ever. Harvey, Irma, Jose…I lost track what the current hurricane is called. There seems to be too many to count at the moment and the devastation is astounding. Don’t let that be you who is caught in a disaster unprepared.
Living in Houston, we have had to evacuate for several storms and we have rode out several storms too. Both are scary. Not knowing how your house faired or wondering did you make the right decision to stay.
We stayed during Harvey. I really didn’t think it was a big deal. Houston has seen lots of storms, this will die down when it hits the coast as they usually do. But the big issue for me was flooding. Houston can only take so much rain in a day and that’s what did us in. But all is well, and getting back to normal. I want the same for you if you go through a storm, fire, flood, etc.

WHY SHOULD YOU CREATE A FAMILY EMERGENCY PLAN TODAY?
- BEING PREPARED FOR A DISASTER MEANS CREATING A SENSE OF CALM, YOU HAVE A PLAN. Ice storms, Hurricanes, Flooding or Fires can stop the world functioning around you for a bit. Are you prepared if that happens?
- HAVING ALL OF YOUR PAPERWORK IN ORDER, OR YOUR PARENTS DOCUMENTS IN ORDER, CAN TAKE A TINY BIT OF STRESS AWAY WHEN A LOVED ONE IS HAVING A MEDICAL EMERGENCY OR EVEN PASSES. Not having to struggle trying to find out where where your loved one does there banking, where is the deed to the house, why can’t you find the medical insurance cards, what about a medical directive – what is it they want you to do for them.
- A BONUS is that you actually reference these important documents often and now you will know where they are.
I want to help you. As a mom who is super busy, and not always organized, I know what it’s like to live through a disaster. And unfortunately know what it’s like to lose a loved one and have to worry about how to settle an estate. And I know how to get you organized for these situations. And I want to teach you how.
Living through Harvey, made me realize a lot of people do not have a plan.
Many had to evacuate quickly and only had a few minutes to grab the family and run. I am lucky I didn’t have to evacuate, but knowing I already had my Family Emergency Binder and a Family Emergency Plan in place put me at ease. Let me help you create a plan if disaster happens.
