One of my favorite seasons is Fall and Football! Fall is here, and I am dreaming of Butterbeer lately and all the tasty things to make with caramel and toffee. Now that school is back in session and football is back in gear it is time to think about school lunches and tailgating. A quick, easy Caramel Toffee Cream Cheese Apple Dip is the perfect solution for what to bring.
This recipe uses ingredients you usually have at your house already – brown sugar, powdered sugar, vanilla, and cream cheese. The only unusual ingredients needed are Butterscotch Chips and Heath Toffee Bits.
For as long as I can remember my sisters have been making this sweet, creamy dessert dip for parties and get-togethers. They serve it with crisp apples, pretzels or small graham crackers on the side. It amazes me how people go crazy for this. Double the batch because it will disappear quickly!
Save some of the caramel dip to add a little treat for the kid’s lunches. Slice up an apple, sprinkle some lemon juice on the apple to prevent browning and you have a dessert to go straight in the lunchbox.
I plan on making this for our next fall tailgating or potluck event. It’s super easy to make and who doesn’t love a dessert dip with caramel, toffee, and cream cheese? Time to think of other fall recipes that warm the soul and bring people together. This pot roast recipe and butterbeer pancakes are next on my list to try.
